Which authority apostilles your document

The authority is determined by who issued the document — a mistake here costs weeks:

Ministry of Justice — civil registry certificates, court decisions, notarial documents
Ministry of Internal Affairs — criminal record certificates and driving documents (since 2023, on its own)
Ministry of Education — diplomas, school certificates and their supplements
Tax Service — tax number (RNOKPP) certificates

No apostille is issued for passports, military IDs, employment record books, vehicle registration documents, weapons permits or business correspondence.

Order matters: apostille first, translation second

A sworn translation is made from the already-apostilled original — otherwise the translation will not cover the stamp and you pay for the work twice. A second apostille on the translation itself is unnecessary if it was done by an accredited translator in the country of submission.

FAQ

No. Requests, apostilles and translations are handled without you; the finished original is couriered to your EU address. The one exception is the marital status declaration: it requires your own signature before a notary — a representative cannot sign for you.
Usually a criminal record certificate with apostille and sworn translation — sometimes for every country you have lived in over the past five years. Civil registry certificates are typically added. The exact list depends on the country and procedure — send us the authority’s requirements and we will check.
The law sets no expiry. In practice authorities expect a document issued within the last 3–6 months, but the requirement depends on the procedure. So order it for an imminent submission rather than far in advance.
Yes, if the copy is certified in the established manner. But some authorities insist on the original with an apostille — check the requirements before ordering; it saves money.
The unified registry text is anonymised and informational — it cannot be apostilled. For submission abroad you need a properly certified copy issued by the court itself.
No. It only shows recorded crossings of the Ukrainian border and does not establish how many days you spent in a given country or what your tax status is. An absent record also does not prove that a person never left.
A consulate can issue information on its own letterhead, but that is a different document: it cannot be apostilled, because documents drawn up by consular officers fall outside the 1961 Hague Convention. Some authorities do not accept such certificates.
Then consular legalization is required instead of an apostille — a longer procedure running through the foreign ministry and the destination country’s consulate. We will quote the timeline and cost for your country separately.
By bank transfer to an IBAN from your own account. We send the invoice with details and the final amount before starting work.
